Dr. Suzanne Sewell founded Crestview Veterinary Hospital in 1990. She enjoys practicing a high proficiency of medicine to help her patients and as a part of that philosophy, Crestview became one of a limited number of AHA accredited practices. Although traditional care is the core of her practice, she is also certified and practices veterinary chiropractic and veterinary acupuncture. She obtained her AVCA certification in 2002 for veterinary chiropractic and is one of only 10 veterinarians certified in veterinary chiropractic in the entire state of NC. She also received her certification in veterinary acupuncture from the Chi Institute in 2006 and finds this to be a wonderful adjunct therapy for our pets.
Dr. Suzanne Sewell graduated Summa Cum Laude from North Carolina State University with a BS in Animal Science and then went on to graduate from NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been a member of the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association for more than 30 years, including serving on the Executive Board for over 6 years
and being its President from 2011 – 2012. She also enjoys staying current in veterinary continuing education and regularly attends regional and national CE meetings.
Dr. Sewell enjoys kayaking, gardening, and life on her farm with her many pets. She enjoys competing in agility, obedience, nose work, and many other dog sports with her Border Collies. Along with her daughter, she shares her home with many other pets including dogs, cats, horses, chickens, and a happy flock of sheep.
