Suzanne Sewell, DVM, CVC, CVA
Dr. Sewell founded Crestview Veterinary Hospital in 1990. She enjoys practicing a high proficiency of medicine to help her patients, and as a part of that philosophy, Crestview became one of a limited number of American Animal Hospital Association-accredited practices. Although traditional care is the core of her practice, she is also certified in and practices veterinary chiropractic and veterinary acupuncture. She obtained her AVCA certification in 2002 for veterinary chiropractic and is one of only 10 veterinarians certified in veterinary chiropractic in the entire state of North Carolina. She also received her certification in veterinary acupuncture from the Chi Institute in 2006 and finds this to be a wonderful adjunct therapy for our pets.
Dr. Sewell graduated Summa Cum Laude from North Carolina State University with a BS in Animal Science and then went on to graduate from NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been a member of the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association for more than 30 years, including serving on the executive board for over six years and as its president from 2011 – 2012. She also stays current in veterinary continuing education and regularly attends regional and national CE meetings.
Dr. Sewell savors kayaking, gardening and life on her farm with her many pets. She enjoys competing in agility, obedience, nose work and other dog sports with her Border collies. She and her daughter share their home with many pets, including dogs, cats, horses, chickens and a happy flock of sheep.
